A: Yes! Q: Do you follow the Latest Dental Fee Guide?

A: Yes! CORE Dental is pleased to follow the latest Alberta Dental Association Fee Guide.

Q: What costs will my insurance company cover?

A: Benefits change from time to time, so it is important to make sure you know what your plan covers. As a result, we cannot provide you with a guaranteed estimate unless we have submitted a pre-treatment estimate before your treatment.

Q: What factors do you consider when providing a quote for treatment?

A: Our estimates are based on the most recent information we have on file. If you are concerned about exactly what costs you will be responsible for, simply ask about our ‘Pre-Treatment Estimate’ at your next visit.

Q: What is a Pre-Treatment Estimate?

A: A Pre-Treatment Estimate gives you the approximate cost of the treatment. Upon request, we will file all the necessary paperwork with your insurance provider before any work is done. While this may delay your treatment, you will know what (if any) out-of-pocket costs you may be required to pay.

Q: What payment options are available to me?

A: We require payment in full at the time of treatment for non-assignment or non-insurance claims. We accept MasterCard, Visa, E-Transfer and Interac (Debit). However, a payment plan may be arranged for major work if discussed in advance with our Administrative staff.

A: CORE Dental is happy to put together a detailed treatment plan with the associated costs clearly outlined so that you can budget for each appointment accordingly. We can also rank treatments so that you can deal with the most pressing treatments right away, and deal with the not-so-pressing treatments over time.

A: We accept cash, Debit, Visa and MasterCard and E-Transfer.

Q: I think I have a dental emergency. What should I do?

A: If you think you are experiencing a dental emergency, call our office as soon as possible at (403) 265-5724. If you are not sure whether you are experiencing a dental emergency, we offer this advice: if it hurts, it’s an emergency! This is because even injuries that seem small or superficial can affect the living tissue inside of the teeth.

Q: My child has had an accident and his/her tooth has been entirely knocked out. What should I do?

A: If your child’s tooth is knocked out, please contact us immediately at (403) 265-5724. In order to save the tooth, it must be put back in its socket as soon as possible (2 hours is the outer limit for survival). Please follow the following suggestions:

  • Rinse off the tooth with saliva or water. Do not scrub the tooth
  • Replace it in the socket facing the correct way and press down on the tooth with your thumb until the crown is level with the adjacent tooth.
  • Lastly, bite down on a wad of cloth to stabilize the tooth until you can be seen by a dentist.

If this is not possible, place the tooth in a glass of milk until you can get to our office. It is very important to keep the tooth moist. Do not let it dry out! Please contact us immediately!

Q: What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?

A: During business hours, contact our dental office at (403) 265-5724 to be seen immediately. If your dental emergency occurs after our office is closed, call our main phone line and follow the menu options to be connected to our emergency service. One of our dentists will promptly return your call and arrange to see you if needed.

Q: I have a chipped or fractured tooth. What should I do?

A: If you have a chipped or fractured tooth, you need to see a dentist as soon as possible. A fracture that enters into the pulp of a tooth should be treated within 3-4 hours to prevent permanent tooth loss.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment with us, please give us 2 business days notice. This allows us to use that time to see other patients that require our expertise.

Q: How much will my visit or treatment cost?

A: Our fees are competitive with other dental practices in the area, and we follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide. The amount charged for your care depends on the specific therapies implemented. For more information regarding our fee structure please call (403) 265-5724.
